Wild Winter Weekend

See the Animal Ark residents in their winter coats! Enjoy hot beverages as you wander this winter wonderland at 6,000 feet. Dress warm. Please call on event day as bad weather or unsafe facillity conditions will cancel the festivities.

Come help us celebrate our 28th year at this location. Bring a present (animal treat) if you wish. We will have the cake! We will open a new playground!

Fading Spots Cheetah Dash

Would you like to have an incredible experience in addition to supporting the Animal Ark and conservation of wild cheetahs? Once a month, the Ark is opening its high speed cheetah runs to the public. Children must be at least 10 years old.

Piñatas & Predators

Come watch the fun as wolves, cheetahs, tigers, bears and more break open their piñatas!

Cheetah "500"

In honor of the “Indianapolis 500” come see the world’s fastest land mammal as Moyo, Jamar & Zulu speed around the Animal Ark oval! Children must be at least 10 years old.

Art 4 Ark

Wolf Howl Night
Saturday, June 6, 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Presentations Begins Promptly at 7 PM
Admission Prices $12 Adult, $10 Child
Join us for a howling good time! The park opens at 6 PM so you may see the other residents of Animal Ark prior to the thirty minute fun & informative presentation. Hear the wolves howl and then participate in our contest with prizes to be awarded to the best human howlers.

Girl Scout Wolf Howl
Friday, June 19, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
This evening presentation is only open only to Girl Scouts. Registration is at the Reno Girl Scout office. Space is limited. Leaders are encouraged to sign up soon!

Dash 4 Dads Cheetah Run
Sunday, June 21, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

What a great way to spend time with Dad and what dad doesn’t enjoy speed. 0 to 45 MPH in three seconds, 22 foot strides & and a top speed of 70 MPH! What father would not be impressed? Children must be at least 10 years old.

July 4th Celebration

We love America so bring a small flag or wear red, white & blue and get $1.00 off each admission. You will get a bang for your buck!

Bridges to Africa

$50 per person (no children under 10) - RSVP (Limited Seating)
Enjoy a very special high speed cheetah run along with meeting Vanessa Bouwer of the De Wildt Cheetah & Wildlife Trust in South Africa. You will be helping to support Cheetah Conservation. Enjoy a Sundowner (non-alcoholic) and watch the sun set over the Peterson Mountains.

After Dark

Admission Prices $15 Adult, $12 Child
Limited admission; reserve early as this event fills quickly! Wolves and coyotes howling, big cats stalking in the night, it’s after dark and the predators are in their element. Don’t snore while the tigers roar. Come join us for a starry safari around the Ark after Dark. You’ll learn about creatures of the night during group led tours.

Animal Adventure! "Out of Africa"

Limited seating; reserve early as this event sells out! Our signature event this year will be an African themed event and will include food, music, cheetah run, bird show, raffle, and a most authentic costume contest!

Flying Fast Cheetah Dash

After the Balloon Races in town come on out and watch Children must be at least 10 years old.

Harvest Festival
Saturday, October 10, 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Admission Prices $12 Adult, $10 Child
As part of our behavioral enrichment program the animals will receive pumpkins filled with special goodies. Watch the enjoyment experienced by our resident animals when presented with these unique and delicious treats. Every thirty minutes to one hour, pumpkins will be delivered to different animals. Come at opening, spend the day; bring the camcorder…. This is animal viewing at its finest!

Last Chance Cheetah Dash
