Resources for wildlife in need
Animal Ark Wildlife Sanctuary serves as a permanent home for wildlife deemed non-releaseable by the Nevada Department of Wildlife, veterinarian teams, and experts in the field, following extensive observation and consultation on the animals case.
Therefore, we are NOT operable as a wildlife rehabber and do not take in immediately injured animals.
We ALWAYS advise the public, though well meaning in their intentions, to let wildlife be whenever possible. Often times, a mother may be nearby in a case of suspected abandonment, or other factors may be at play. Leave the animal, but note your location and the SITUATION details, and contact the dispatch number for the Nevada Department of Wildlife Urban Wildlife Agent, who will be able to direct you based on the situation.
However, if you have come across an animal in need of a wildlife rehabbers attention, the following resources are available.
We deeply appreciate your concern for Nevada’s wildlife.
