As Maple grows, we'll be building her a brand new enclosure in our canyon section of the park. This will involve all new infrastructure and materials, including chain link, wood, and more! We're seeking about $13,000 to make this new enclosure possible. Thank you for your support of our newest and youngest resident!

Being a small facility, our administration team is mostly comprised of animal care staff.

As a result, tax receipts for donations as well as membership and adoption packets can take up to a month to process, as we make animal care our top priority.

Support Animal Ark in honor of Holly

Holly MacKenzie Flores

April 5, 1964 - May 14, 2026

Holly was a long-time Nevada resident who moved there to attain her civil engineering degree at University of Nevada Reno. She worked for Truckee Meadows Water Association for 36 years before recently retiring. Holly never had children but was a lifetime animal lover. Her dogs, over the years, were her fur babies and companions. Holly was a frequent visitor and patron of The Animal Ark Wildlife Sanctuary. No local services will be held as her immediate family is in Washington state. Please consider donating in her honor and memory. We will sorely miss our gentle daughter, sister, and friend.
